Power Point Tips

  1. To add a new slide: click under “insert”, choose “new slide”.
  2. To insert a picture/illustration: Click on the insert menu click on picture then choose clip art from file, or the other options. You can also click and drag pictures from your desktop onto your slide show.
  3. To insert word art click on the insert menu, click on picture then choose word art scroll down and choose the desired style by double clicking on it then type your text where it states your text here click ok
  4. Add a background color click on the format menu choose slide background click on the up down arrows to choose more colors or fill effects
  5. To animate objects on a slide click on what needs to be animated, then click on the animation on the formatting palette, then click custom animation on left click an object then click on add effect at top right. A list of effects will appear, shoose one, then click ok. Click effet options button in the middle to a a sound. Repeat for each selection on left
  6. Add slide transitions click on slide show menu, click on slide transition. Click on no transition then choose a transition.
